Q. Can I add on another named driver to the hire?

a. Yes you can add additional drivers at an additional charge.

 

Q. Do you have any minibuses?

a. No the largest capacity vehicle we have at the moment is the Vauxhall Zafira which is a 7 seater.

 

Q. I need to move a motorbike – is that allowed in your vans?

a. Yes we have vans that have tie-down points in them and we can also provide a ramp to roll the bike in on and tie-down straps at no extra charge.  Just remember to say that you will need these when booking.

 

Q. Can I use my own insurance during the hire?

a. Only business users can use their own insurance.

 

Q. When can I return the van on Sunday?

a. You can return it any time, however on Sundays we are only open till 09:15am, so if you are returning the vehicle after this time you would need to put the keys in the key drop facility.  When doing so it is important to note that you are still responsible for the vehicle until 08:30 the following day when we can check it back in.

 

Q. I have driving offences on my licence – can I still hire the vehicle?

a. You can have one or two minor convictions - please call the office for more information. 

 

Q. Can I pay by cheque?

a. We only accept card payments and cash for the cost of the rental. 


Q. Do you require a deposit?

a. A £100 deposit is required for each hire. This is taken as a pre-authorisation on a card in the driver's name. This funds will not leave the account unless there is any additional charges to be taken a the end of the hire, although the credit limit will be reduced by £100 for 9 working days.

 

Q. Can you deliver the vehicle to my home address?

a. Vehicles will need to be collected from Constitution Street by the driver as there are security questions to answer and paperwork to complete.

 

Q. Can I take the vehicle abroad?

a. Within mainland Britain is acceptable but our insurance does not cover any vehicles that are taken overseas.

 

Q. What is the minimum amount of time that I can take the van as I only need it for an hour or so?

a. The minimum hire period is up to 4 hours – either 08:30-12:30 or 13:00-17:00 or we can offer an overnight hire from 17:00 to 08:30 next day. The vehicle can be returned within this time frame but minimum charge rate will apply.

 

Q. Do you have customer parking?

a. We do not provide customer parking and there are parking meters on our street, but when you pick up your vehicle we can point out the various free parking locations close by.
