- Your driving licence
- Your National insurance number or the licence share code provided from the DVLA website.
- A card for the hire payment and the appropriate deposit for the vehicle type.
- A proof of address that has been posted through the letterbox of the address where you live with a date within 3 months from the collection date. If the licence is not registered where you currently live, then we will need 2 items as proof of address.
- Any additional drivers will need to produce the same documents as the principle renter.
- If moving we require your forwarding address.

HIRERS/DRIVERS AGED 22-24
Maybe permitted at the discretion of our insurance provider. Additional driver information will be required.
Must have held a full UK driving licence for at least 5 years.
Licence must be free from any convictions/endorsements.
Must have an accident free record.
Basic Accidental Damage excess is £1000.
There is an additional daily charge depending on the type of vehicle required. Speak with your local branch office for further information.
HIRERS/DRIVERS AGED 25 AND OVER
Must have held a full driving licence for at least 5 years.
A basic Accidental Damage excess of £750 applies.
MPV’S
Hirers/drivers must be aged 25 or over.
Must have held a full licence for at least 5 years.
A basic Accidental Damage excess of £750 applies.
Category B includes Cars, 4x4’s, light commercial vehicle up to and including Luton box van (maximum weight 3.500kgs) and MPV’s with no more than 8 passenger seats.
It will depend on why and when your endorsements were issued but we do accept licences with minor penalty points. It is at the discretion of our insurance provider.
Yes, but you must provide your Drivers Licence showing your entitlement (an International Driving Licence is required) and two forms of documentation showing your temporary address whilst staying in the UK and a passport.
You can have as many additional drivers that you require. There is a charge for each additional driver, and these charges are applied on a daily basis. Each category of vehicle has slightly different rates and these rates start from £4 per day.
Collision Damage Waiver - Is your standard vehicle insurance protection with an excess that can be reduced with excess protection or CDW (collision damage waiver)
Yes, a vehicle can be hired long or short term, speak with us on 01224 621002 to arrange a quotation at favourable rates.
Our minimum hire charge period is 24 hours.
No refund will be given for cancellations made within 48 hours of the hire start time.

- Up to 8 weeks = Booking Deposit
- 6 to 8 weeks = 50% of the total hire charge
- 4 to 6 weeks = 75% of the total hire charge
- 0 to 4 weeks or No show = 100% of the total hire charge
Early Returns
No refunds will be given for any early returns.
Sorry, but our current insurer will not cover any hires outside the UK.
Only business users can use their own insurance. 24 hours’ notice normally required.
We do not offer customer parking, but Constitution Street has free parking on Sundays. The nearest 24/7 free parking is on Links Road and The Esplanade towards the seafront.
Here are details of how our mileage charges are calculated.
For online bookings:
1 day 150 with no mileage charge
2 days 300 with no mileage charge
3 - 6 days - 100 miles per day no mileage charge
7 days + 500 miles per week no mileage charge
A mileage charge of 20 p per mile for cars and small vans comes into effect after the daily allowance and for Luton Vans 35p per mile after the daily allowance.
All vehicles are provided with fuel. It is your responsibility upon returning the vehicle to ensure the tank is refuelled to the correct level. Otherwise, we will refuel the tank and charge accordingly plus a £15 admin fee. Please note this cost is greater than the standard forecourt prices. We store very little fuel on our premises.
We have a limited supply of child car seats/booster seats. Please enquire at your local branch office for a quotation.
